Celebrate National Beer Month at a Local Raleigh Brewery

In honor of National Beer Month, we’re giving you the rundown on some of the best breweries, bars, and bottle shops in the Clayton area. So no matter your taste in beer, you’re sure to find something you love.

Clayton Favorites

Deep River prides itself on being Johnston County’s first legal brewery. They strive to use local ingredients to create their beers whenever possible. Bottling both year-round and seasonal beers, you’ll have to keep coming back to try them all! The staff is incredibly friendly–this is definitely a local favorite.

If you’re looking for something on mainstreet be sure to hit up Manning’s. Not only do they serve amazing food, but they also have an awesome beer selection.

You can also find local haunts like McKinley’s, The Cleveland Draft House that has 70 beers on tap, and Wine on Main.

The Breweries of Raleigh

Raleigh has a thriving craft beer scene with plenty of microbreweries and bars to choose from. When venturing outside of Clayton we recommend checking out these different breweries.

Crank Arm Brewing

The Crank Arm is a cycling themed brewery. Biking and brewing might seem like an odd combination, but the Crank Arm proves that they go hand in hand! They encourage both an active lifestyle and taking the time to have a good beer.

Big Boss Brewing

Big Boss is tucked out of the way, just north of Downtown Raleigh. Offering up unique beers, this is a popular spot for people all over Raleigh.

Raleigh Brewing Company prides itself on being a brewery for the community. Their focus is reflected in their name and the names of their beers.

Fortnight Brewing

Fortnight prides itself in brewing UK style beers and is located in Cary, NC. Because the a few of the founders are English themselves, you know that you’re getting an authentic taste of English beer.

Bond Brothers

Also located in Cary, Bond Brothers Beer Company won the USA Today‘s Award for Best New Brewery in the Country. It’s definitely worth stopping by.
