Santa Claus Is Coming to Town
In order to spread extra holiday cheer, jolly old St. Nick has paired up with the Clayton Fire Department to visit the people of Clayton every Friday night in December. While his sleigh remains in the workshop gearing up for Christmas Eve, he has exchanged his famous ride for another red vehicle. He can be found rolling into town on the Clayton firetrucks that have served the area through all sorts of perils, manned by the heroes of Clayton. No wonder Santa wants to be friends with these guys!
Be sure to don your festive headgear or favorite Christmas sweater and spread out along the route to properly observe social distancing protocols. Santa will be making his way down Main Street to see all the good boys and girls this year!

Some would say the town reminds them of a Hallmark Christmas movie! Local store owners have decorated their windows and stores in celebration of the holiday season. It is quite beautiful to see downtown lit up at night with lights and decorations adorning the streets.
We recommend grabbing a cup of your favorite hot holiday drink, wrapping up in a coat, and browsing the downtown area as a fun and safe holiday outing.

The nine reindeer have been spotted all across town: at the police and fire department, at the library, and in several parks. Once you find the reindeer, take a picture and email it to ashearin@TownofClaytonNC.org for a special Christmas surprise.
